Blue metal may refer to a Navy plane?

I'd tend to agree with The Lobster since most Naval aircraft are Gull grey with white lower surfaces. (Trainers get a lot of International Orange but I'm fairly certain POTUS wouldn't get to switch from the Big Boeing to any navy trainer I ever heard of....)

The color of the plane has nothing to do with what a plane is called. No pilot talks about his pink plane or his blue plane.

AF 1 is an Air Force plane. It would not be referred to as blue metal. A Navy plane might be.
