In ordering its closure on Monday, the US singled out the Russian Consulate in Seattle as a hotbed of espionage activity because of its location near a huge US nuclear submarine base and a major defense contractor.
Senior administration officials said they believed the consulate which must close by April 2 was used as a base for attempts to spy on the military contractor Boeing as well as Naval Base Kitsap.
Seattle was also a hub of Russian cyberespionage, both political and commercial, two US intelligence officials told The Washington Post.

Decades ago when our Mare Island Naval Facility in Vallejo, Ca. was going full bore working on our FBN’s to update them and to convert many them into Spy Boats or Seal Team transports, that area was crawling with Soviet spies. (See link below re the Sea Wolf’s)*
So, when we closed Mare Island and moved the sub modifications up to the North West, the spies went up there.
Brennan, Clapper and Obama probably gave the Russian/ChiComs GPS units with critical areas locked into those GPS units better target our new sub skunk works.
