Yes, Im a mild germaphobe as well, and would be concerned about eating at the home of certain people for whom household hygiene is... a little wanting.
This is my biggest beef in eating out at your average sit-down restaurant: dirty tables and utinsils. I stopped eating at Chilis, both because of the liberal bent of the parent company and because the disgusting tile-topped tables always had leftovers stuck in the joints between tiles. Routinely you find dried food between fork tines. Id use my slice of lemon as a quick wash and then wipe if I couldnt get quick enough service before the food.
I understand. Does your state have a restaurant cleanliness/sanitation grading system? Mine does and restaurants are required by law to put their grade score up on the front door. But even still, if there is residue or something like lipstick marks remaining on a coffee mug, of course I immediately address the restaurant servers.
Re: lemons. I use them on my hands if unable to wash or if without hand sanitizer gel. LoL
Re: dishwashing. My other pet peeve is old or unclean sponges. Or when people use their dish sponge for things beyond dishes...like to clean the countertops, or other areas. *faints*

That hamburger patty has no hamburger in it.....
This place is about 3 miles from me next to a Target I go to sometimes. Always thought of trying one but not now.
Closure reason: cockroaches

A friend of mine worked his way through college at a chain restaurant. Whenever we go out to eat at a diner or chain eatery now, he orders an extra glass of water and soaks both of our utensil sets in it, then polishes them with a napkin.
