Hopelessness and giving up. I know of people living in excruciating neurological pain from anti-biotics. There is no cure. Many do give up waiting for what could be many years until the reaction is appeased on its own.
I have fought depression since the 80’s. Had a very happy childhood emotionally even through poverty and loss. My depression is medical and even had epilepsy for 15 years. Controlled now through holistic care of self. My mornings begin with the sacrificial prayer of praise and thanks. What really gives me so much deep joy and peace is singing along with these men (my son’s dog howls with me)

Satan hates music and laughter. This is a spiritual war that is tied to our physical bodies. Getting off carbs, eating fats for my brain, and exercising is crucial. Being a visual person I look for beauty in nature that the LORD God sends to me. It’s been a journey, but my motto has been for a couple of decades: “Always an Adventure!”
Never give up. The joy of the LORD is our strength and He alone is our righteousness. Read the Bible, ask Him what He wants you to know. Search for the answers with your own studies. Memorize and meditate on His truth.

most importantly, don’t believe the lies you tell yourself. Find the TRUTH. God is truth, our lives should be based on who HE is, not on ourselves. We are all as filthy rags but it is HIS righteousness and everlasting lovingkindness that gives us our worth. If our self-worth is actually based on HIM, and He never fails, then our lives are built on nothing less than Jesus and His righteousness. He does discipline in love and mercy, and then He restores beyond our biggest dreams. It is His promise if we just do what He tells us in every situation from failing to winning.
