Never happen in our lifetimes. But if STEM is neutralized by affirmative action, progress in science, engineering, DEFENSE TECHNOLOGY and medicine must grind to a halt but only IN THE WEST. This will not happen in the East. The USA would no longer be the top choice for higher education. You will have a few top notch Americans going abroad for STEM (those few who manage to qualify after 12 years of our version of “education”).
And ask yourself - who will keep the power on, the water flowing, build and maintain the infrastructure, build the machinery etc etc when 2+2= whatever? Either unequal outcomes must exist or we will descend into a New Stone Age.
Not in our lifetime but unless halted it will happen within the next 25-30 years.
I already see some of its effects working for a civil engineering firm. The local government tries its best to virtue signal by hiring minorities whether they are qualified or not. Then you have these individuals telling engineers that they need to save trees or do an inspection for box turtles, then when it is being reviewed by an “engineer” if it doesn’t agree with their software program’s results it must be done over.
At least the local medical community has not been invaded by AA doctors yet and the Ben Carson type of doctor would not live in my small city, we are too far from major medical research or trauma center I type hospitals.
All one has to do is look at California or some of the so-called Ivy league schools for the direction the communist/liberals want to go. Their universities are becoming indoctrination centers and infrastructure is an afterthought.
I view them as people that believe if their ideal world is achieved they see themselves as living in dacas dictating policy, not as a nameless corpse in a mass grave. Which is what most of them would become a corpse, i.e. useless idiots.
Government and companies know affirmative action doesn’t work; it is just used to re-distribute wealth to people who don’t fit in a modern economy. They mask the incompetence by hiring several people to do the work of one “real” worker, and keep a “real” worker on the payroll to ensure the results are there. In my experience, gender and racial tokens show up to work to socialize - little else. They are held to no performance metrics, and all the work is done by “real” workers.
