I read the sarcasm further down in the post after posting. You did a good job. You might put in parenthesis (sarcasm) as in “It should be noted that the internationally recognized and non-biased website Snopes (sarc) ...” but then people should read all the way through too.

If one has to explain the sarcasm, it’s a sarcasm fail. However, there are instances of folks just not getting it. It doesn’t mean the sarcaster did a poor job, rather that the sarcastee was not in the right mood to perceive the sarcasm.

Posting history is usually a good indicator of the degree of sarcasm.
