Why would the parents of those girls even allow them to compete. They are running against boys. That’s the dumbest thing I ever heard of.
If one of those girls was my daughter, I would totally pull them out of the race and say when we have a race that’s all girls she can run again.
I am constantly surprised at how most parents go along to get along with this PC foolishness. The majority seem to be afraid to ‘rock the boat’ and then be called intolerant.
A certain percentage don’t think they have much choice;
they cannot afford to send the kids to private school, plus some parents don’t believe they are educated enough to create and run a home school either.
