In the 13-year data set, 54 cases involved a dog killing its primary owner. Pit bulls inflicted 63% of these deaths, over 8 times more than any other breed. U.S. Dog Bite Fatalities: Breeds of Dogs Involved, Age Groups and Other Factors Over a 13-Year Period (2005 to 2017) by DogsBite.org, May 2018 I suspect that in the majority of these cases the owners weren't any better at raising their kids than their dogs and had kids who turned feral as well... It would be interesting to see if there's a correlation between owner drug use and dog attacks.

Similar to what I asked. Is it really a matter of the dogs being “good dogs” — at following along with the attitudes of the owners, which are sometimes very bad people?

It’s sad when pits bulls rip family/friends/strangers apart and then pit apologists say the people had it coming. Blame the victim. Sad.
