I remember growing up, when they showed The Wizard of Oz on TV, once a year, it was an event.

Me, too.

It usually came on in March at the dawn of Spring. It truly was an event at our house, with my friends and I anticipating it for days before it showed.

I remember growing up with a 12” black and white set...seeing the Wizard that way every year since I was... four?

...and the year my mom got my sister and I up and drove half-way across the state to watch it for the first time in color!! on grandma’s 27” floor model set.

Early 80’s, as a guess I’d say I was 16 or 17.
