I am loving this. Women, objectifying women so men won’t objectify them. The ironic part about this is “#metoo” is “poundmetoo.” /not mine, but I’m using it here
I think Miss America is just trying to survive. It’s been a joke for a long time. One thing is for sure, if they go the route of PC identity politics they can hang it up. People may tolerate that sort of thing, but they aren’t going to watch it by choice.
Its long been a truism that “sex sells” but we are long past the time of boys hoarding Victoria’s Secret catalogs with all the porn all over the internet. That market is saturated.
What would be great is if it turned into basically a competition for scholarships and jobs, which in truth it always was really. Pave the way for best practices and I think it will turn into the world’s best reality tv show.
Is there anything the Left touches that doesn’t turn to c**p?
This is one of my favorites:

>>Were not gonna have that anymore at Miss America, and were gonna ditch the evening gown competition.
And go straight to night gowns?
I guess fat, ugly feminists want a crack at the title.
One of her callers, suggested since it was no longer about looks and beauty, why didn't they just broadcast the pageant as a radio program.
I laughed out loud in the car at that remark.
Says it all in nutshell about changing a beauty pageant into a "how do you feel about such and such" pageant.
Reminds me of the beauty pageant contestant, who when asked to tell the audience and judges about her favorite date, she replied that April 10th was nice. Not too hot, not too cold. But she sure was pretty in that swimsuit though.
I haven't watched these things since I was in high school, maybe college. But I would guess this is not only going to kill their TV audience but more than likely it will be the demise of the pageant itself eventually.
