I was a contestant in a Guiness World record boiled shrimp eating contest in Houston in the 1970’s.
The Guiness record then was 5 pounds, but I don’t remember the time limit. I ate 4 pounds and 15 ounces, but I unknowingly slowed myself down while doing it because I was drinking beer and eating hush puppies at the same time.
