I read on a Reddit thread for a verified Reddit user that a few of the players were in on a stunt they were going to pull on Trump at the visit.
Accdg to the report or thread, there were Trump supporters among the players and they had connection so the WH, and alerted them of the plans. Supposedly they were going to kneel during the photo op..

It is true. Sarah Sanders confirms and explains all the other shenanigans those guys were up to.
Looks like the NFL are going to have a lousy gate this year, too. Going broke for their “principles”. I’d admire that if they really had any, but they’re just a bunch of bullies who have no love for their country.
