Maybe Hollywood should double down on their Jihad against America.
Well I went to see the movie last night Freepers. After reading how bad of a flop it was, I was blown away how GOOD this movie was.
Politics? I didn’t see it. A robot character called L3 had gained sentience, and was advocating for robot rights. It was unexpected and humorous.
Environmentalism? Non existent
Feminism? I was expecting it, but no. Solo’s love interest backs him up 100%, even though she has other allegiances by the end of the flick.
Gratuitous casting? Woody Harrelson was a believable character, and I wanted to complain about the casting choice but I could not.
New faces? I wanted to dislike the actor playing Solo, but I couldn’t. He comes across very much as he should. The Lando character was awesome, completely nailed the role.
Good vs. Evil? This movie made it a little more muddy. Who are the good guys and who are bad, just like in life. Solo has some difficult choices to make, and he makes them.
Canon? For Star Wars fans, this explains and fits very well within the SW canon.
And it’s even Rated G. So I don’t know what all the hand wringing and whining is about. I went into this movie with low expectations, and came out blown away. Do yourselves a favor and go see it.
