Hats are the most popular giveaways for the teams.
Rainbow-colored hats are the giveaway of choice for 11 Major League Baseball teams that have LGBT Pride games this season.
The Blue Jays, Braves, Cubs, Diamondbacks, Orioles, Padres, Pirates, Rays, Reds,Marlins and Twins are all giving Pride hats to people who buy a ticket to their game. This is the first year the Reds are having a Pride night.
The Brewers, Cardinals and Dodgers have shirts with a rainbow theme, the Athletics and Mariners have wearable Pride flags and the Giants have a backpack. The other seven teams with Pride nights have not specified what, if any, their giveaway will be.
In a design sense, my favorite hats are the Blue Jays, Pirates and Reds. While adding rainbow colors can be an LGBT cliche, when married with something traditional like baseball caps, they add a fresh look to iconic logos, some that have been around more than a century.

Now we've lost MLB.
Now people can understand why Major League Baseball is dying. Imagine a young kid going to a game sitting next to some lowlife wearing that hat.
Toss it in the stadium urinal and piss on it.
Is there an inhabitable planet around here? Let’s go.
My Reds too! Say it aint so.
Pride? They keep saying that like they still are even trying to convince themselves and the rest of us too. Modern homosexuality has gone from demanding acceptance to demanding approval.
Ok, mlb added to perma ban.
I am sooooo sick of this.

Now THAT was a sickening phrase....
I was a lifelong sports fan. I even used to have season seats to the St. Louis Cardinals. I stopped supporting and watching all of it because of this.
Buddy of mine would buy a Giants cap and toss it into the Dodgers Stadium men’s room urinal trough whenever the Giants were in town. Always got a laugh out of it.
Will men’s figure skating have a straight pride day in response?
Those hats are UGLY!
Wish I watched MLB so I could stay away in droves.
Guess me and the Kids can do other things like CAMPING, BASKETBALL YEAH!
Used to be a big fan of baseball but like all spectator sports these days I occasionally check the scores and results and say thats a shame they lost or nice that they won and that is about it. The World Series and playoffs were must see tv years ago for me. No longer. I did watch the final laps of the Indy 500 this year. Might be all the sports I will watch live in 2018. I have a ton of memorabilia to get rid of over the next few years. Good luck MLB. Youll need it.
Thank god the Angels are still heterosexual.
Liberalism destroys everything it touches....EVERYTHING, including MLB.
It’s a scourge across our country. It’s like the BORG of this century.
It should be stamped out and off the face of the planet.
Never, NEVER, let a lib near the levers of government for any reason.
