The Russian girls working in the Middle East and Asia know exactly what they signed up for. They get six month "entertainer" visas, work and then go home. Many willingly return. The money is good, as are the gifts of jewelry. Some of them just work as dancers or strippers and not have sex with anyone. They're allowed to do that but they don't make nearly as much money as the other girls do.

The whole "innocent girls sold in to sexual slavery" is largely a myth. Nobody wants a crying prostitute. But it works the narrative of turning the less-serious issue prostitution into the far more sinister sounding "sex trafficking."
