According to government stats # FED workers was 912,000 in 1939. Today it’s 2,789,000.

US population 1939 (Wikipedia) 147,500,800 and 2018 327, 830,000 (US census).
So, basically the Fed workers have tripled and the US population has a little bit more than doubled. Even after the New Deal.
BTW, a little off topic but I didn’t realize that Bangladesh is more populated than Russia.
