I have never believed in conspiracy theories. Though some critics have lumped me in with conspiracy theorists excogitating on Clinton aide Vince Fosters death in Fort Marcy Park and other such phantasmagorias, I plead innocence. It is just too difficult to keep a conspiracy under wraps. Particularly in Washington and New York, where garrulity is the rule. A conspirator sitting on a big story is likely to tell someone for money or for prestige or for the sheer fun of it. If I recall correctly, even Woodward and Bernstein eventually told their secret about Deep Throat, and that was a rather simple secret. Imagine the pressure on survivors in the know to spill the beans on the plot to kill JFK or the real identity of the Rev. Martin Luther Kings assassin or, come to think of it, Donald Trumps collusion with the Russians or Stormy Daniels or Martians. Breaking silence on these matters could assure the leaker fame unto eternity or at least a fat book contract.
No, I do not believe secrets about sensational events can be kept for very long. However, in light of the discovery of new evidence or new insights, I think a new investigation can be warranted. Now Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has stepped forward with an abundance of evidence that Sirhan B. Sirhan, who was convicted in 1969 of assassinating Roberts father, presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Sr., is innocent. At least Kennedy thinks Sirhan is innocent of killing his dad. That terrible June night in 1968 Sirhan did fire his 22 caliber pistol repeatedly in Los Angeles Ambassador Hotel, and he injured several people. However, the younger Kennedy believes someone else shot his dad. I think he makes a compelling case at least for reopening the investigation.

Well Oswald might have been a “commununist” too, but he was definitely a COMMUNIST. ;>)
Exactly!

Obama has a few of his own
FBI has been a political operative of the DNC for a very long time.
RFK’s assassination was basically caused by his pitifully non-functional security plan. It was, in the end, still decided by pure chance. The dumb decision to lead RFK out of the hotel through the kitchen (where Sirhan, probably unable to get closer, had been hiding).
DB Cooper!
Nah. I didn’t do it.

>> If I recall correctly, even Woodward and Bernstein eventually told their secret about Deep Throat, and that was a rather simple secret.
Nope, it was Deep Throat himself who spilled the beans. And he was the same guy who ruined the case against Bill Ayers for allegedly using black bag techniques to spy on him.
Who Killed Robert Kennedy?
Who cares?
In Huey Long’s case FDR’s deep cover agents “helped” blame a totally (now) vindicated Jew— a fact of the times. Blame the Jew in the LA “parish”. Meanwhile, it was actually one of Huey’s bodyguards.
Certain knowledgeable folks in LA can tell you, Huey was a threat to FDR’s leftist fascism. Long correctly identified the fedgov dipping into the litle man’s pocket to benefit the big man. The subject of decades of personal life experience for most folks (Southern and Northern) from the Dust Bowl forward.
An excellent book on the anti-semitism of FDR admin(and the Foggy Bottom State Department) is Erik Larson’s “In the Garden of the Beast- An American Family in Pre-WWII Berlin”. FDR’s concern was that of his oligarch buddies (who had to be forced not to do business with Hitler, and even then, continued to do so- See the anti-knock additive Standard Oil sold in the multimillions to the Nazis throughout the entire war, and Henry Ford’s war reparations paid to Ford for the bombed out Ford plant). Such were the globalists then, and now.
No, as Sirhan was pulled away from RFK, he continued to fire two more rounds. This is in Noguchi’s autopsy report, available online. The kill shot was the first one that went in through the mastoid process (bony protrusion of the skull).
A cop with a service round of that day would have been a 38 Special. It would have blown the top of RFK’s head right off. That didn’t happen. It was Sirhan’s 22 Short revolver that stayed in RFK’s skull, which was made accessible to the already firing Sirhan, when someone (several someones) spun RFK around and gave a foot away head target to Sirhan, and two more rounds to the scapula and the middle back. The head shot rattled in RFK’s skull and did not exit— irreparable damage that killed him next AM in hospital.
The FBI killed that girl and not RFK Jr’s cousin?
Those wascley EfBeEye agents...
I bring it up because RFK Jr. was elated that Michael Skakels conviction was vacated.
https://nypost.com/2018/05/26/robert-f-kennedy-jr-doesnt-think-sirhan-sirhan-killed-his-dad/
RFK Jr. also believes in jail time for climate change deniers.
He’s a barking moonbat 8 ways from Sunday.
Anyone who was party to murdering JFK or RFK or MLK or... was an accessory to murder. Saying “here’s what I know” isn’t likely to get you a break.
And some groups (like the mob) will cut off loose ties that might compromise a deal or spill the beans after the fact.
After the release of thousands of JFK documents there are few who continue to argue that Oswald was the ‘lone assassin.’
The evidence is completely to the contrary. Modern forensics have not only discredited planted ‘evidence’ but raised the question as to who was responsible for the obfuscation.
As to the hiring of assassins... why bother to hire anyone when there ample volunteers within the mob and the Cuban ex-pat community, including ones the Agency had trained themselves.

These 14 published reports of the Church Committee contain a wealth of information on the formation, operation, and abuses of U.S. intelligence agencies. Unfortunately, there are more missing JFK records as some of the Church Committee files have vanished.
If you want to understand, the ongoing JFK coverup, you may want to read Rex Bradfords deep dive on the Missing Church Committee transcripts. It is a useful antidote to the comforting illusion that the government cant keep a secret.
>>>JFK Most Wanted: the Church Committee assassination transcripts
The large-scale declassification of JFK documents in the 1990s brought roughly 4 million pages of new assassination-related records into public view. It illuminated what is still missing or withheld from the public record. Among these are the vast bulk of the records of the Church Committee which in the mid-70s exposed the CIA plots to kill Cuban leader Fidel Castro among many other abuses.
In the past few months the transcript of James Angletons testimony to the Church Committee in 1975, has been released. Four other key JFK documents have been released - but with extensive redactions. These were the files of four officers involved in the surveillance of Lee Harvey Oswald between 1959 and 1963.
Oddly enough, All The Presidents Men was just part of a trilogy of conspiracy films, the Parallax View took on the notion of a dark agency/corporation setting up patsies for political assassinations and even has a waiter/killer similar to Sirhan’s shooting of Bobby K.

Pakula was also notable for directing his “paranoia trilogy”: Klute (1971), The Parallax View (1974) and All the President’s Men (1976).
I agree with your idea that if the mob killed JFK, it would have to kill RFK. Have you ever heard a plausible conspiracy theory implicating the mob in RFK's assassination? Mob involvement in JFK's assassination has some plausibility but I have never heard of any plausible evidence of mob involvement in RFK's assassination.
To me that has always been the biggest problem with the idea of mob involvement in the JFK assassination.
