Jesus could have used a chariot, a litter, ride on a horse or in a carriage. He did none of those as recorded in the Gospels.

Excellent point! And, by the way, I’m guessing a rickshaw type ride in Jesus time, cost not more than the smallest coin of the realm, because today, in the Philippines, such a ride costs almost NOTHING. Most likely, Jesus walked nearly everywhere He went, not because he was too poor to ride, but because He was a) setting an example of servanthood and humility, b) conserving His money for tithing, giving to the poor, and using it to buy food, etc. for those in his ministry. Obviously, he didn’t really need money, because he could miraculously produce any of those things, but he reserved that gift for special occasions, to show the mercy and goodness of God. When he instructed his disciple to catch a fish to get a coin from its mouth, to pay taxes, it wasn’t because he could get money no other way. He was teaching us to depend upon the goodness of God, to provide our needs.
I try never to criticize a person to whom God has given a ministry, (which I believe God did give to DePlantis), but let me just say, though the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable, not all recipients of those gifts keep their end of the conditions of its acceptance.

The Scriptures tell us he humbled Himself and rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. Next time, He’ll be on a white charger.
