Cedar Point experienced a power outage in parts of the busy theme park on Memorial Day.
The amusement park sent out a tweet addressing the issue at 2:30 p.m.

Generators are relatively cheap these days.
“”Excellent roller coaster. Lots of roller coasters at Cedar Point.””
OH must have a thing for roller coasters. Recall going to Kings Island in the early ‘70’s and riding one terrifying roller coaster. Loved every minute of it but difficult to stay seated - and I was pregnant!
That's hardly "hours". One would think mandatory back up generator power would be required.
DITTO that!
While my favorite remains Top Thrill Dragster I will enjoy every one of those rides at the coaster capital of the world!

I would go to KI over CP any day of the week. I once bought multi-day tickets to CP and ended leaving Sandusky by 3PM.
KI’s the BEAST was the best. Remember riding in the front seat and it starting to rain. Got off that ride looking like I had the chicken pox or measles.
KI’s The Bat was a fun ride up until the tree incident. The poor tree they took it down and the ride. (The car went flying into a tree killing the occupants. The tree had the stains still on it for the next couple of years while the ride sat silently before being replaced.)
Unless Cedar Point has vastly changed over those years, I will return to KI. But then again I haven’t been to KI since the early 90’s and CP since the 80’s.
We lived in CA for years and there was a great roller coaster in Santa Cruz - it started out in the dark and when it reached the very top, broke out of the dark and THAT was frightening. So frightening, I couldn’t wait to get off so I could take another ride.
I went there every summer when I was a kid.
