I can imagine.

With your experience, do you recognize any symptoms she might have?

Really hard to say other than the empirical. Obviously something serious is going on if she’s wearing a brace that, even under the type of clothing she’s wearing it the outline of it can been seen. It’s not an Ace Bandage she’s got on there! You just don’t go to Walmart and buy something like she’s got. She has had to have been examined by a doctor(or two) and a determination made of some circumstance or diagnosed condition or aliment serious enough to have to wear such an appliance. And you have to be given a prescription for it. This thing is now a fact of life for her and it has and will change the quality of life for her(yeah!) Further more such an appliance is going to be very restrictive. She’s going to have to have therapy sessions to learn to use it , how to bend , walk with it, etc. As far as bathing? With that kind of device my guess is she uses a Sits Bath. A bath that’s like a large tub with a portion of it that you sit on while a gentle flow of water bathes you. And the important thing here is she has to have help. You need someone to help you get into and out of that thing and you need help bathing when you’re wearing an appliance like that.I think it’s safe to say she has a live-in caregiver(and I don’t mean Bill) to make sure she doesn’t fall, someone to get her out of bed, bathed, dressed, etc. She probably, in my humble opinion has Parkinson’s. In any event, this is NOT a well woman. She’s in bad shape.
