As noted here last week, the adjustment to the national anthem policy should remove any impediment to the employment of quarterback Colin Kaepernick and safety Eric Reid, since neither will be able to kneel during the national anthem. Some players reportedly have come to the same conclusion.
Shaun King, an independent reporter who has had several anthem-related stories in recent months, contends that [s]everal NFL stars have told me they are considering sitting out the season until the de facto ban of Eric Reid and Colin Kaepernick is removed and both men are given spots back on rosters.

At this point I’m not sure the NFL will ever regain the stature it previously had.

Oh please. Talcum X is being used as a source.
Wish they would do it but Shaun King has zero credibility so I’m sure he just fabricated the whole thing.
Good. Hope they sit out forever.
Colin Kaepernick is stinking commie and a dirty rat...
Many former NFL viewers will be “sitting it out” the games as well. Permanently.
Awesome!!!!!!! Im sitting out the whole season also because of reid and crapperdink...just like last season.....WINNING!
Other than the obvious “inmates running the asylum” remark let me repeat what I have posted in the past. When working in the UAE over the last three years, I talked with many African men from Uganda, Congo, Somalia, etc. Every single one of them wanted to be able to emigrate to the US (rather than work in the UAE). The best answer to when I asked why was: “Freedom!”. Of course, interviews with these types of poor, hard working men will never be shown on the MSM. In any event, happy Memorial Day and God bless to all Freepers.
“they are considering sitting out the season”
Good move (sarcasm) because when you do you violate your employment contract making it void. Wait till you try to sign on with someone else and the negotiations begin anew with the history of causing trouble.
Most companies don’t want to hire a-holes. NBC News is an exception.
We will have to see what the NFL does.
I guess these ‘star’ players have banked enough money.
Who cares!
You broke protocol. Double dog dare comes first. ;-)
to the Triple Dog Dare.
I look forward to hearing all the excuses for yet another year of falling ratings and emptier seats.
I also look forward to Sundays in my life and others that have more meaning than sitting in a couch watching tv.
I look forward to every anti-American player “sitting out”. Maybe they should self-exile from the USA. Self-important Losers.
