I did an internet search on him as you requested. I don't follow the celebrity chef scene (but I do like to cook at home) so didn't know much about him. I do know that celebrity chefs tend to be leftists - i.e. Tony Bourdain, Gordon Ramsey. Not sure why that is. But this guy takes the cake. He just radiates hate and intolerance. Ugly to the core.

He has been that way for as long as I can remember. I couldn’t even watch his show way back when I had cable and I love watching Italian cooks.

IIRC, the last time the RNC had their convention in NYC, Batali publicly stated that RNC delegates weren’t welcome in his restaurant(s).
