I thought names weren’t assigned until they were tropical storms? Are the weather mavens worried about not being able to breathlessly report on a named storm every day?

You got it. I Think we’ll eventually see a time when they start naming all bad weather events. Even small rainstorms.

1. CAGW global warming hype requires there be more hurricanes and weather disasters.

2. More hurricanes = More budgets and more publicity and power for the “experts” and NHC.
