anyone else notice that McDonald’s is being utterly destroyed?
——————
I don’t know if “destroyed” is a word I’d use. I bought their stock at around $90 and it’s now over $160. Their all day breakfast is doing well for them. And I’ve noticed a distinct uptick in their emplyees’ courtesy—this across several stores in several states. Almost as if they’ve been watching Chick-Fil-A. Also kiosks are making an appearance in some stores.

Again, stocks are cyclical. Doesn't project long-term growth.

Gas station chains such as Sheetz will cut into that. I get my coffee and breakfast sandwich from Kwik Trip, which is cheaper and faster than McDonald's.

The all day breakfast sells well, but the margins suck. Last reports I saw have it a loss leader at most restaurants.

Plus they have been noticeing Starbucks as well since they added their McCafe menu a while back now and dropped the kiddie mascots. In Canada surprisingly they are now the number 1 seller of coffee surpassing Tim Hortons.
