Since New Yorkers aren’t drivers, their story is skewed in a way their gun stories are skewed. Read the local coverage. She was crossing but not in a crosswalk on a busy street where speeding is common. That’s your travesty, not the ridiculous notion that a late model 435 hp Mustang GT was “racing” at 60 mph.

The speed limit on that road was 40mph. There wasn’t a crosswalk, but in Florida pedestrians can legally cross in certain situations without a crosswalk.

And now police are saying the car was going 102mph.
