I suppose it really doesn’t matter what constitutes racing but 60 plus in a 35 and or business district where a Mom is crossing with a stroller to most normal thinking folk is racing.

But a 0-60 race in a Mustang takes about 4 seconds and looks a lot like taking off from a stop light. So, had they been “racing” at 60 (in a 40 zone BTW—the article says that it will be changed to 35) for a while? That’s not racing. That’s just driving fast.
They were driving recklessly and speeding 20 over the limit and they killed people. Using that to create some David Hogg-like emotional response against “racing” is unnecessary. Talk about the crimes that we know happened.
