If you’ve been holding your breath waiting on reparations, it may be time to head to Oregon. Activists in Portland are throwing a Reparations Happy Hour where black attendees get $10 in cash as reparations, funded mainly by white donors.
The ongoing event, which just kicked off its inaugural gathering this week, is the brainchild of social justice organizer Cameron Whitten, who started the initiative through his new group Brown Hope.
“It’s exactly what it sounds like,” Whitten says. “What I want to do is end the cycle of exploitation. For black, brown, indigenous people you face so many barriers, whether it’s tokenization or straight-up poverty.”
Whitten has no qualms about cashing in on white guilt and says plenty of white people have already donated and signed up to be monthly donors.

I was just going to reply with the same sentiments but you said it perfectly. As a black person, I would find it very demeaning to show up to one of these events. As a white person, I would be very ashamed to take part in it.
Are the tips on those drinks free too?
It involves a limo, a crackpipe, and some fancy mouthwork...
I must note that more white people are murdered in a single year by blacks than all the blacks lynched in the antebellum South, ever.
Solution to reparations is separation!
The only slaves these black racists are is to the democrat party plantation.
And just think, if you or I treated a customer poorly because of their race we’d be fired PDQ.
And yet it is expected from that demographic, as if we should just suck it up, this overt hatred of White people.
$20? Um I have some Zimbabwean $100 Trillion banknotes. I feel they should be reparated with good solid black regime money and not racist US currency. It is only logical as Spock would say.

Reparations from blacks is more fair for having to support their welfare mothers and kids.
As a black, you should hold out for your 40 acres, not just 10 bucks. And be sure to stipulate acreage near the beach or downtown. Shoot for Boardwalk and Parkplace.
Sounds like a plan, so long as the beaches aren’t polluted or Boardwalk has all it’s Starbucks full of homeless ‘guests’.
There may be somewhere on that 40 acres I could start Fracking. It would be like the Beverley Hillbillies, but Detroit Style.
