They were there for all five of the Spurs’ NBA championship runs, dancing in the aisles, performing during halftimes, trying to liven up the crowd. From the early days of David Robinson to what might have been Kawhi Leonard’s final season in San Antonio, the Silver Dancers were part of the Spurs’ game day experience for more than a quarter-century.

Leonard’s future remains uncertain, but the Silver Dancers are apparently done. The team is reportedly eliminating its longtime dance team, replacing it next season with a 35-member ‘family-friendly’ co-ed “hype team” that will feature tumbling and acrobatics.

America was build on Traditional Values.

The courts took them from us.

People want public places to be G-rated and safe of kids and women.

I do kind of hope that the SJW stench that filters from Poppovich down throughout the Spurs organization will end up driving its fanbase away. Couldn’t happen to a bigger jackass than Popovich.

I agree. The courts pose a major threat to us. They intrude in every aspect of our lives: local school budgets, overruling jury decisions (like in the Howard K. Stern case), etc. etc.

Maybe free fornication and public lewdness weren’t all that great for society.

Spurs are not owned by Mark Cuban. That would be the Mavs.

An easy way to include gay men in the dance corps. Maybe even some trannies if they become acceptable in polite company. Can’t have a bunch of cute girls dancing that’s not inclusive. Almost every HS and college dance team now has a couple of obligatory flamers on board.

Their costumes don't even show navels, but they're being treated like a bunch of strippers.

So, create a new dance troup with girls in burkhas and add a bunch of gay men? Yeah, that'll pack 'em in.
