That picture of O’s staff (now with all we know) is a look of defiance, not sadness Absolutely. Look at the body language (arms folded in front or in the front). The scowls. The narrowing of the eyes, barely containing utter contempt, anger, and hatred.

I just searched for gestapo group picture but this one of Muller (not Mueller--but I bet it used to be spelled that way) fit the mood.
