This point needs to be repeated when someone tells us to scroll past posts that we "don't like." I'd bet that some people tire of scrolling and just stop reading, and others who'd otherwise read these threads see the post counts (often over 2,000 over two days or so) and abandon any hope of starting. People have quit social media for less.
My own reading of these threads has been sporadic. Sometimes I've stopped after realizing that I just spent the better part of an hour sifting through hundreds of posts that I wouldn't have missed were they never posted. I do try to read at least the beginning of each new thread, but not every important thing is at the beginning.
I don't want to join in the internal battles in these threads, but please have a little consideration for those of us who don't have that much time to read.
Fully concur with your sentiment. S/N not optimum.
There are just too dmd many with a "You're not gonna stifle me.", "Who appointed you thread police?", "JimRob didn't say I couldn't", "So and so did it first! (waaa)", "Just trying to point out your lunacy.", "Scroll on by if you don't like it.", "Hey, I like tangents.", "I know you are but what am I?", etc. attitudes.
If one wants to squabble, fine. Can't it be done via PM?
