59-year-old man punched a deaf pregnant woman and her service dog inside a Frontier jet upon landing in Orlando on Friday, Orlando Police said.
According to a police report, Timothy Manley was travelling from Colorado Springs, Colo., along with his wife Petrini Manley, 56, and Joshua Manley, 27, all from Gainesville.
Petrini Manley complained of being allergic to dogs as the plane descended and was being taxied to the gate at the Orlando International Airport. The service animal, a Great Dane, woke up and Timothy Manley told police the dog took up more space than [he] felt it deserved.
Timothy Manley then punched the service dog, Zariel, causing it to yelp. The dog shook its head and hid under a seat, according to the police report.
The 21-year-old woman and her 30-year-old partner, who is also deaf, tried to yell at Timothy Manley as best as they could, the report indicates.
Police said Timothy Manley then got into the mans face and punched the woman, who is about 20 weeks pregnant.
Two officers arrived at the scene of the scuffle as Timothy Manley passed by them, saying It took you all long enough to get here, according to the report.

That is what they get if they are large. They get the front row where there is plenty of room for the animal to lie down without bothering other passengers. As for the man, he saw the dog in the front row, at which point he behaved abominably. I wish an armed Air Marshall would have taken care of him.
Are you seriously suggesting that wedging a 200# dog in the seat beside you is acceptable on an airplane!?
You would prefer she had a service Chihuahua?

A good point regarding a deaf couple, especially with a pregnant wife. Deaf people, unlike blind people, don’t advertise themselves with highly visible canes, but can inadvertently get into difficult situations because of their disability. Being a Dane’s human, I can say the mere presence of a Dane has a terrific “WOW!” factor because of the Dane’s high visibility and the terrific good nature of most of those dogs, a good nature this one demonstrated after a vicious, unprovoked assault. That high visibility can keep deaf people from being accidentally hit by cars and other horrible accidents.
He also pushed the couple's two daughters, knocking them down.
He was totally out of control.
I don’t understand why a deaf woman needs a “service animal” but if it’s really needed and has to be a Great Dane then they are going to have to buy that animal his own seat! Dawg those dogs are bigger than a Siberian Husky.
It’s one thing if you need a service animal but still you should show common courtesy to others.
“Mine, whos a bit small, is a 120 lb. male. Hes eight years old and in excellent health, which is great because its going to hurt like Hell when I finally lose him. One of the two greatest dogs Ive ever had. Hed be a bit much in steerage on a plane, since he takes up as much space as a small woman.”
My BFF has a Great Dane and that sucker is bigger than my Siberian Husky. Those dogs can get monster size! I understand this man’s complaint because people complain about how big my doggie is.
No, clearly stated as a man and a woman.
Many reasons why a deaf person can use a service dog. Imagine not being able to hear smoke alarms, doorbell, baby cries, etc. It allows them freedom to go out, as the dog is aware of the sounds around them.
True, great danes are big but they are not "in your face" dogs. They have a calm temperament, low prey drive, not excitable, don't need a lot of physical exercise.
This woman and her "fiance" (she called him that in an interview with CBS I believe) are both deaf. The couple have 2 daughters. Nowhere was it said that the dog had been out of control on the flight.
In 1909, Spanish started working together with "Kid Dropper" Nathan Kaplan. The two soon had a falling out that culminated in a knife fight in the street; They fell out because of a dispute over Spanish's then girlfriend, engaging in a vicious street fight in which the Dropper nearly stabbed his rival to death. Once he recovered, Spanish began taking over control of the Kid Jigger's Lower East Side "stuss games", a variant of faro, who contemptuously dismissed the threats. However, during a particularly violent gunfight in one of his attempts to gain control over a particular gambling operation owned by Kid Jigger, an eight-year-old girl was killed. Forced to flee the city, he discovered, when he returned after several months, that his girlfriend had left him for Kaplan. Spanish abducted the woman, who was now pregnant, and drove to a marsh outside Maspeth, New York, where he tied her up against a tree and shot her in the abdomen several times. The woman was found alive several hours later, giving birth to her baby who had three fingers shot off.[1]
She has a deaf male partner. The service dog is probably useful to both of them, although just trained to the woman.
My problem is with a man who punches a non-aggressive dog and a pregnant, deaf woman. Mr. Manley’s behavior and comment to the police sounds very much as though he has an undeserved superiority complex.
Either United or American just okd mini horses. A few years back the wife was on a plane with a mini horse. It was very well behaved.
Where did you get there are 2 daughters?
This article also never stated there is a husband, and this woman is very young for already having kids.
“No, clearly stated as a man and a woman.”
LOL!
Since they had still not attended their gender reveal party how would you know?
That’s not very Manley for him to do.
I agree. That’s weight.
The universe doesn't have a center.

In 1927 Georges Lemaître found solutions of Einstein's equations of general relativity in which space expands. He went on to propose the Big Bang theory with those solutions as a model of the expanding universe. The best known class of solutions that Lemaître looked at were the homogeneous solutions now known as the Friedman-Lemaitre-Robertson-Walker (FLRW) models....
Waitaminute. Were you speaking metaphorically?
Never mind.
Okay, enough levity (thank you very much, I'll be here all week, be sure to tip you server).
The center of my universe is my family, friends, and country.
Do you believe in chaotic randomness that creates you and the next guy and then you feel a societal need to cooperate based on your shared experience as nothing special?
In other words, what is the meaning of life, yes? Beyond the obvious answer of "42", we all individually determine it. Many (most?) choose to follow the beliefs of religions of various sorts for the answers. In my case, I've been influenced by my parents and various authors whom I found persuasive, the most prominent among them being Robert A. Heinlein and Ayn Rand.
They have been using mini horses as service animals for quite a while. The big advantage is their long lifespan when compared to dogs.
Who called corporate? How did they correct the situation?
Lady, this hasn’t been that country for over 50 years.
