someone leaked to the NYT and they rationalized passing it on even when asked not too. Most importantly it is still happening today.

Still remember the Dan Rather interview when asked if he was embedded with the VC and an American unit was entering an ambush, he wouldn't do anything. So they've sold out a long time ago.
