No question that the NYT helped our enemy post 9/11. They do it today but are at least hampered by the leak plumbing that went on. That caused the US to spend a boatload of money and time to develop countermeasures. Thankfully terrs are lazy and some keep remarkably good records.
A truly American Government DOJ and FBI would have brought the times reporters in for extended questioning and found/prosecuted the traitors and those printing secrets publicly. Wasn’t this the whole Valerie Plume? Issue only for real with damage to national security?
Here’s hoping that POTUS can reach back and “Punish” these traitors as well.
