Totally agree with your point. I said the same thing a few days ago. Halper isn't inside the campaign. The "moles" (actually, just triggers) were Papadopolous and Page, and rumor is one more player yet to be specified.
John Sullivan, The Hill reporter, often appears with Sara Carter on HANNITY. Sullivan has been dogged at investigating DS.
Several nights ago, however, he said that there were no campaign “plants”. I was pretty surprised hearing that, since he has, so far, been proving accuracy in his reporting born out in results.
He explained that these contacts, who are being labeled as campaign plants and spies, were of course probing the campaign targets, trying to prove a negative, seeking info that pointed to Russia, Russia, Russia.
That will be the department’s cover, because probing contacts is actually a legitimate operation, and typical procedure, by US counter intelligence agents. It always will be.
We can argue about protocol being broken, as the NYT reports, concerning the Australian PM authorizing his underling to be used as a part of an entrapment scheme, but for US counter intelligence, probing for connections with adversaries has always been common, even expected.
Something else arguable is Lynch moving that female Russian spy into the country, for no virtuous reason, but to the contrary she is able to squat inside Trump Tower, in the private office of Trump, Jr. enjoying a private meeting with Trump, Jr. and campaign associates... all, who become overnight media targets and fall under congressional investigation and worse.
A bit involved... but a classic penetration operation. Halper helped set up the provocation with Page et Papadopolous who dutifully played their role in the operation - almost surly dupes - to justify the ultimate counter-intel and possible penetration scheme.
The more Brit intel shows up in this Christopher Steele, Sir Richard Dearlove, Alexander Downer, Joseph Mifsud, the more likely it will emerge that the PM May Admin was complicit in this coup... a very sticky wicket! 🕵️
