If following the Jewish law saved you, there would be no need for a Savior......except no one can follow the Law perfectly.
You cannot “unhitch” it because Jesus cites the OT frequently as do the NT writers. So I am guessing Stanley isn’t saying what he said.
Why do you say no one could follow it perfectly? Dt. 30.11 says: For this commandment which I command you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it out of reach.
