Black bears were never un-introduced to CO. They have been here all along.

AND they are not all black. There are blondes and browns and so called cinnamons ..... and they can run very fast.

And around here they usually run in the opposite direction. The bears of Rocky Mountain National Park are known as "wimpy" bears. Still, I would not take them lightly. Bears can change their minds and moods in the blink of an eye.

As an aside, some of them like to shop for candy.

Yes, but they are all members of the black bear family, which comes in all those color phases.
