This falls under the WTH category, probably not Q related - my MacBook Pro might have a virus. Seems to be in a perpetual download mode. Scanning for virus now.
Q mentioned computer slow/shut down. We each must do what must be done to see if it’s everyone or just us.
You might also want to do the Ctrl-Alt-Delete thing, open Task Manager, and see if something is sucking down some processing energy.
Sometimes I find that one of my backup programs has gone rogue until I end and restart it.
What is your battery status?
When my battery went bad the thing was slow as molasses.
