I suspect that the current problems traces back to the popularity of Mussolini’s fascism after his election in 1922. Fascism became very trendy and hip in the elite crowd and may still be today.

Fascism was trendy in the colleges and universities between the wars, went underground during the Cold War years, came out of the closet with the hippie crowds, very trendy again now.

Look at the politicians and professors, business leaders on board in the twenties/thirties. Today’s professors, politicians, business leaders on the left are the GRANDCHILDREN of that generation of REDS!

Their great grandchildren now populate the college campus young democrat ranks as well as the young republican GOPe ranks. Playing both sides of the spectrum from public school/universities and Wall Street.

DS one and all. Whether knowingly or not, the truth remains the same. The fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree! You will be known by the fruit that you bear!
