I obviously don’t have the experience you do and won’t put myself in that dangerous a position.
That gal did a phenomenal job. She was very focused, calculated and methodical in her actions. But, as with anything else, there is always something she might have done better. Mine was an extremely minor observation that you never know what kind of junk a crook is carrying, so you never want to kick a bad guy’s gun. There are tactics that would have allowed her to keep muzzle and eye contact while retrieving the gun and she would have been well situated to eliminate any further threat. With that said, I would also criticize her putting her foot on the guy’s butt at the end. That type of contact tells the suspect where you are if they intend to attack. Incidents like this are extremely chaotic and she performed like a seasoned pro.
