This incident sounds as if it may not have been Spirit’s fault.
But Spirit was the airline that sold us advance tickets for flights and then WITHOUT ANY NOTICE cancelled the flights WEEKS ahead of departure...no notice at all....no phone call no email no text no letter no nothing. We would up stranded at the airport and Spirit refused to help us find alternate airlines. no help at all. Spirit also failed to refund and we had to threaten to sue before we got our money back. The alternate airline we did find...charged much more for the LAST MINUTE tickets.. as is unfortunately customary in the airline industry... we lost a lot of $$$. We had formerly flown Spirit a lot, it was decent (never wonderful but okay)... but this incident and especially Spirit’s totally unhelpful attitude...made us leave them forever. Caveat Emptor.
