His adult grandchildren surrounded him during the last few hours, chatting and playing JS Bach music. Back when non-ticket holders could walk up to the boarding gate, sit by the window and watch as relatives flew off on their flights.
Strange and sad. I have a feeling this made up ritual will become more common as people live well past 100, but exist in poor health.
