It's extremely difficult for me to believe that *any* Hollywood star,of *any* era,was/is a truly respectable person...with the exception of Ronald Reagan and John Wayne.

However,I just did a quick search on Newman and found that he served honorably during WWII,so I just might have to add his name to the other two.

Newman was pretty liberal, however unlike most he actually did do a great deal to help many people.

He was a great actor, really good race car driver and car owner.

I have a lot of respect for him.

Mark Levin read a list of famous actors who served in World War II and a brief description of their service. It took him a long time to read the list. All were very well known to anybody who watched movies or TV during the 1960’s and 1970’s. Paul Newman was one of many.
