It sure gets old...and after all of the reports of family dogs raised by the most loving owners turning on those same owners. I know there are good pitbulls, but I’ll never trust any of them.
Kill em all
Unleashed dogs in public? Unleashed pits attacking others and their dog? Get a good lawyer, file a big lawsuit and on these brain dead morons who think it’s cool to let their pit bulls roam free.
Forgive me - I cannot stay and reply to comments at this time. If anyone wishes to know more, or to read about the woman in Oklahoma who was mauled by a pack of 4 pit bulls, along with her neighbor,
see here: https://www.nationalpitbullvictimawareness.org/
This happened Saturday evening, and there are updates. Thank you, Norski.
So it's just tough sh*t when a person walking their leashed muzzled dog is attacked by unleashed unmuzzled pits, a pack of pits, or a strong arm robber?
What about the people who use their dogs on walks for protection?
Good reason to pack when going out for a walk, especially if you know there are problem pits in the area.
Sorry, the confusion here is pretty bad. There was a ptsd service dog that was mauled, - at least that is what the 911 caller claimed - and one of the pit bulls was apparently killed - or at least found dead in a ditch. This only happened this afternoon, and the writing is a little - hurried and ambiguous, I believe.
I very much agree on the service dog fraud problem.
In this case it don’t matter what the classification is on the victims dog. It’s irrelevant.
Pit bulls are the moozlums of the dog world.
All dogs, in pack modes, are dangerous. Except for lap dogs.
The pit bulls refused to let go of her dog and Esther Long’s husband, Richard Long, grabbed his .22 caliber revolver and was forced to shoot two of the three dogs, killing one, to protect his wife and their dog, deputies said.
To be fair, other large breeds have been known to be unpredictably vicious. It’s all a game of probability. And Pits are on the very high probability end. A gentle pit proves nothing.
Shepherds are pretty tough dogs but 3 pitbulls against 1!
And it doesn't have to be a dog.

Money.
Im a land surveyor and I work in Deleon quite often, usually a couple times a week. Ive had some close calls with some nasty dogs out there.
People ask me all the time of im afraid of the snakes and gators. I always say Nope its the people and dogs that you have to watch out for, at all times, and you better be ready for either both
The snakes and gators dont stick around
You've paraphrased my earlier comment of 04/20/18:

Pit Bull math: 1 pit bull + 1 9mm = problem solved
I’ve been thinking about trying to catch one of the local bobcats for a service animal - something in the 35 -45 pound range. Get it fixed and some shots, leash train it.... what could go wrong?
12 gauge, # 4 shot works just fine on any size pit bull. No need to go 00 buck, it will just make you miss.
