If the brace is for a compression fracture, then she is dealing with osteoporosis, Stress fractures are painful. Could be why she drinks/drugs. Only so many cortisone shots she could take in short time and they have side effects.
Breaks toe (and not the heels/stairs/coffee scenario she peddled).
Breaks wrist catching herself slipping on stairs. Sprain would be expected. A break intimates fragile bones. People had her arms...she didn’t land full weight on that wrist.
Now, an obvious back brace. She could just stay out of the spotlight for a while, let things heal, but, no....she insists on being very active and visible. She’s not aging well, as well as not letting go of whatever power she has left. Given her 27% approval rating in a recent poll, IMO, that power is the fear she hopes to engender in those still cowed/afraid of Arkancide.
Beyond my ability to understand. She certainly must have funds stashed away in preparation for a confiscation or just because they were not declared/tax paid. I never saw the usual crowing about how much money the last gala raised. Maybe it (relatively) flopped?
