I dunno. Do intel guys sign some kinda non disclosure thing when they retire? And I don't know of any legal restrictions that they are under while employed that they would be freed from upon separation. Interesting to look into, though. It would explain his retirement right in the thick of things. To me, anyway.

Yes, Intel folks with security clearances sign an agreement NEVER to disclose classified info.

This, in the case of TS/SCI clearances, is a LIFELONG agreement.
