rofl, the NYC city case had an actual bomb that actually went off (to a limited extent), that is NOTHING like a case of undercover agents either supplying inert materials (so no one actually gets hurt) or arresting the perp when the materials are transferred.
You have zero zero zero evidence that there were any “undercover” agents involved or that the NYC attack was “thwarted”.... the guy had an actual bomb, it’s just that he was an amateur and did not know how to make it effective enough (fortunately).

You can’t seem to analyze the NYC bomber case that YOU brought up. You just make assertions as though you “know” secrets that no one else does. Where is a shred of evidence that undercover govt agents worked with the bomber but “thwarted” his terror attack? So you believe that govt agents would know what he was planning, help him but sabotage his bomb, and let him go among thousands of innocent people in subway tunnels just assuming that the explosion would not be too bad?
In other cases of undercover counter-terror operations the perp(s) either gets totally inert harmless materials or else is arrested at the point of receiving dangerous materials. But you imagine that nefarious govt agents wanted him to be able to set off a pipe bomb in a busy subway tunnel because they would rather have a messy failed attack (which could have harmed a lot more innocent people) than no attack at all.
And the “why” of all this is never explained — an apparent ISIS inspired attack in NYC does not help the “Deep State” in opposing POTUS Trump. If anything it tends to motivate the public to support stronger counter-terror, counter-jihad measures. It tends to support Trump’s MAGA agenda, not oppose it.
