Though I DID have an 8th great grandmother who was accused by her son-in-law, Newport’s attorney general, of adultery and sentenced to be stripped to the waist and tied to the “great gun” for 15 minutes at noon. 7th ggf was a trifle bit annoyed at her for selling his fiance to a richer man and got 8th ggm back good. Also got back his fiance. He explained to the town’s morality police that he’d stop living in sin with the girl if they’d annul her marriage, so they did, and he did.

Some Anon dug this up: Jim Morrison's father (yes the rock star) Admiral George Morrison was the naval officer who personally launched American fighter jets from the USS America to engage the Israeli jets that were attacking the USS Liberty, on June 8th, 1967, during which Israeli fighter jets and torpedo boats spent more than an hour killing 34 American sailors and wounding 171.
Admiral Morrison's order was then countermanded by Chief of US Naval Forces in Europe, Admiral John S. McCain Jr. Father of no name.
