Not to mention that that slavery ended in 1865 so unless they were here in 1465 waiting for Columbus to double park in the Caribbean 27 years later and then waited another 115 years for the English settlers to set up shop, that 400 years of slavery is definitely mindset the farther away from 1865 it gets.

Math doesn’t seem to be their strong suit. The first slaves at Jamestown were in 1619...399 years ago. There were few slaves in the mainland British colonies until the second half of the 17th century, so slavery existed in a significant fashion for about 200 years, more than half of it before the colonies became independent.

While American Slavery was the extension of commerce trade of the British - a holdover from the Colonies, African slavery goes further back than the United States has been a country. Slaves, mainly from Africa were the result of Islamic invaders into Africa, starting with Egypt. From the African tribal wars, the winning tribes sold their captured into slavery. This is the untold story of African slavery which continues to this very day. In the KSA the word for black is the same for slave - abed .
