I think that's a fair take. Plenty of "open" news and infornmation has been focused on, that otherwise would not have been focused on.

The cryptic delivery inevitably creates trips down blind alleys and a bit of irrelevant creative meandering, but that "wasted energy" hasn't seemed to affect the general direction much if at all.
