Better yet, why did he plead guilty?

Cheaper and much less stress than mounting a defense and going to trial. Flynn knew what was up. This was no ordinary case. Was he really in legal jeopardy? Did he believe he was really in legal jeopardy? Considering the pardon power, as well as the charge he plead to.
